Acadiana Housing Alliance

Following the model set by the Greater New Orleans Housing Alliance and Housing Louisiana, the Acadiana Housing Alliance (AHA) brings together housing and community development organizations, neighborhood leaders, local government representatives, private sector developers and other stakeholders to create a comprehensive housing strategy for Acadiana, with an initial focus on housing needs, affordability, and availability in Lafayette’s core neighborhoods.

Co-led by ARCH, the goal of AHA is not to replace the important work being done by existing planning entities, but rather to help coordinate their efforts with those working on the ground in the housing arena, and to join this work with the voices of those most affected by affordable housing availability.

In recent months, AHA has developed an up-to-date dashboard that brings together national, state, and local datapoints from multiple sources and agencies in order to offer a clearer understanding and guide for advocacy efforts in the housing space.
